Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated
How to cancel, what happens to money already paid, and how to ask for it back. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
Cancelling
There is nothing to cancel at the moment. PyLearn does not sell subscriptions, and no recurring charge exists on any account. What follows describes how cancellation works whenever it does.
Open your billing page and cancel. It takes one click, it does not require emailing anyone, and it stops the next charge immediately.
- Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. A yearly plan cancelled in month two stays open for the remaining ten.
- When it does end, the paid courses re-lock and the free ones do not. Your progress, XP, badges, streaks and certificates all stay exactly where they were, and resubscribing picks up where you left off.
- Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account. If you want the account gone too, write to support@pylearnapp.com and we will delete it — see the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
Refunds
Within 14 days of a payment, we refund it in full, no questions asked. That applies to your first payment on a plan and to every renewal after it. Write to support@pylearnapp.com from the address on your account and say which charge you mean.
It applies whether or not you used the courses in those two weeks. We would rather refund someone who read six lessons and decided it was not for them than keep five dollars and an unhappy learner.
After 14 days:
- Monthly plans. Cancel and the next charge does not happen. We do not refund a month already under way, because you had the month.
- Yearly plans. Tell us and we will refund the unused whole months on request. You do not have to sit out ten months of a plan you have stopped using.
- Anything that went wrong. Duplicate charges, a charge after a cancellation, a charge you do not recognise, or a stretch where the site was unusable — those are refunded whenever you notice them, not within any window.
Is there a free trial?
There is nothing to trial. The whole of PyLearn is free with an account — every course, every quiz and project, every certificate — with no card, no time limit and nothing that expires.
If you are on a trial from before we stopped offering them, it still runs. Cancelling before it ends means you are never charged.
How a refund is made
Refunds go back to the card or PayPal account that paid, through Stripe or PayPal — we cannot send money any other way, and we do not issue credit instead of a refund unless you ask for it.
We process refund requests within 5 business days, usually far sooner. After that the time to reach your statement is your bank’s: typically 5 to 10 business days for a card, faster for PayPal. You will get an email from us when the refund is issued, and the provider’s own confirmation separately.
If a payment fails
We tell you and retry over a few days. If it keeps failing the subscription lapses and the paid courses re-lock — no debt is created, nothing is sent to collections, and fixing the card and resubscribing restores access immediately.
Before you call your bank
Please write to us first. A chargeback takes weeks, costs both of us a fee, and automatically closes the account it disputes while the bank decides. An email to support@pylearnapp.com gets the same money back, usually the same day, and leaves your account intact.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces the rights your local consumer law gives you. If you are in the EU or the UK, your 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services applies on its own terms — this policy is simply the same thing extended to everyone, everywhere, and extended to renewals as well as first payments.
